Buy an American truck
A Tundra is on the lower end of what you need for hauling your Vette. If you're using an open trailer you'll be alright. But, if you have plans to get an enclosed trailer, a diesel is truly your only option.

You'll be fine. I've done quite a bit of open trailer towing with a suburban, and even then it's allright but i'm always wishing i had something heavier.

Another vote for at least taking a look at the Chevy truck. I've heard a lot of great things about it. Patriotism aside, a lot of the magazines have been ranking the Chevy ahead of the Toyota in tests.

FWIW, my brother just got a 07 Tundra(lease) and it looks awesome with the 20" wheels, BUT he said it is a gas guzzler. He was getting 17 on the highway at 65mph. Just something to think about.

I got a Tundra and I must say I love it. Maybe you all should take a look at the profit Toyota has been turning. Its making the "American" vehicles look bad. Dont get me wrong I am a Chevy man through and through, but you can't knock the Imports. The tundra is easy to work on, and it seems like everytime I turn a wrench on it I think why couldn't chevrolet do that?

Tow a Vette with a Chevy
Do you know what the most recalled brand was for 2006? Ford. Do you know who had the next most recalls in 2006? Toyota! Why doesn't the media tell us that? Buy a '07 Silverado or GMC Sierra, they have been rated far superior to the Tundra in every way! They're real good looking, too!
