I'm asking here as this old guy no longer has a vette. But the power plant lives on in the 85 XJS I built. It's powered by a 89 vette TPI and a worked 700R4 to make it work without the VSS. It's a bone stock engine setup with the exception of pumped air to the cats. The short block, heads, injectors and all sensors are new. It has run great for the last 4 years and I'm at a loss why it stalls at an idle when I switch off my AC. You would think it would stall on applying because of the extra load of the compressor but the ECM does it's job to kick the idle up when you turn it on. I hope someone has an idea on this TIA
