L-98 vs 2006 GT Mustang Who would win
L-98 with: BPP cold air intake, 160* thermostat, Upgraded exaust with no emissions, and a 2400 stall torque converter. Stock GT mustang with about 300 horsepower. Who would win running at a dragstrip?Heads up race.
One more quiestion. How much horsepower would a supercharger add to that stock mustang?

I would like to know the same. My father has a 1990 w/L98 and I have a new mustang GT. If I get a chance to run him I will let you know. He got the jump on me on the highway the other day, but I was able to catch him. But that does not answer the question that well......

'91 L98= 13.9
'05 GT= 13.5
According to the mags. But in reality I have heard the stock new Mustangs rarely break into the 13s and that 13.5 was a REALLY good time for the car. It's very close. Would come down to the driver and condition of the cars.

05 Mustang GT with blower.. I'd guess you could safely get 400-430 at the wheels before you have to upgrade the engine internals.. with the 3 valve heads, it's going to breathe pretty good..

My last run in at the track with a "stock"(he had a handheld tuner with him) was an 06 GT California Special....he started in the high 13's(13.8,13.7) then with tuning and practice got a best of 13.3 for the night. My old 89 Formula 350 w/ L98 and cai, airfoil, chip and exhaust ran 13.6's on street tires.
