Wait wait, not true!!! My wife & girlfriend are Asian, both prefer the Vette... Wife calls EVO's & STI's "Back Street Boys" cars. She loves the Acura RL even more though, been thinking about a divorce for that reason
All funning aside, I like & respect both imports but would go with a Supra or NSX... I wouldn't sell my Z though. If this guy wants to jump ship no biggy, his choice... Always laugh when folks post threads like this, I mean what does he expect to hear???

.....there would be a 20% tax on vehicles (and other products) at the port of entry for these foreign made items.
As one continues to support "free trade" you support the demise of your country ! Hell, I can't even buy a pair of underwear made here !
Rice....yep it's rice....and you'll be eating it one day, regularly ! It will be all you can afford.

My girlfriend is half japanese, so I figure I'll be able to make the transition a bit easier than most of you.
I'm thankful everyday my dad isn't as ignorant as you. He's a true car guy, and not blinded completely by brand loyalty. I still support the good old USA. I own a 96' Chevy Z71, and on my second C5(my dad bought my first one off me for the cheap). My first two cars were Pontiacs, and I work for an American Aviation company here in San Diego. But to be criticized for owning a Japanese vehicle that is tastefully modified to be on par performance wise with corvettes, is quite unfair on your part. I know more Corvette owners that own Toyotas and Hondas as well, than you can imagine out here.
Don't ever tell me I support the demise of my country. You know nothing about me. I'm a gun-owning, God-fearing American, who is proud of America's contributions to the world over the past 230 years. Just because I have a couple of Japanese cars alongside my American cars, does not make me Anti-American, or trying to bring down my country. How dare you imply such a thing.

Free Trade is essential to capitalism. Foreign made products are the reason American workers live so well. Jobs are not "dissappearing" The unemployment rate still hovers around 4-5%. Jobs are changing. Instead of making $6 an hour making widgets in sweatshop environments, low-level American laborers are making $15 an hour or more assembling BMWs and Mercedes Benzs in clean, safe, air-conditioned work settings. Unemployment is no higher in this country, but home-ownership, car ownership, college admissions, living conditions, etc. are. Hell, there is an OBESITY epidemic among the nation's "poor." But who cares about the "facts" or the principles of capitalism and the ideals of our founding fathers, keep on rambling about "losing jobs" even though employment rates are basically stationary, and vote for Hillary.
End Rant.
End Rant.

They're damn good cars for what they were designed for. Rally racing. I love my friend's stroked Evo. Makes over 450awhp and the power band is damn smooth for a turbo 4cyl.

They started making the Z06 in 2001, so this story must be fiction.
