The very low production numbers is probably the biggest factor in that price. I can easily see the car fetching a 100k price tag as it is incredibly engineered with cutting edge tech. But one can get an ACR and a C6 Z06 for that kind of money.

This creature ("GTR Spec V) is not any faster than the base car, what's the point? The base car is fast, yes, but when you get on it,the damn thing shakes like a bomb just went off. However, from a dig it takes off like a rocket ship. Should never be compared to the ZR1.

Great numbers but sounds like a vacuum cleaner. To me supercar and spine tingling exhaust note go hand in hand. I must say though that they look much better in person than pictures led me to believe.

I would say most of the GT-R owners are with you on that one.
I was first on my dealers list for a Spec V over a year ago when the rumor was out that it would have 550hp and weight in at least 300lbs less than the standard GT-R with a built in Roll cage etc etc. All for around $100,000 or so. Well that rumor has be vaporized...so I'm taking myself off that list.
For a whole lot less I'm modifying mine and it will be a lot faster than a Spec V but then there will always be the " but it still isn't a Spec V " debate that we who own C6 Z06's on here get when we say the same thing in comparing a stock ZR1 tp a modifed Z06.
Do as you please with your money is what I say but I wouldn't touch the Spec V for that kind of money for what your getting.

I put my name on the list before Nissan announced that they were not coming to the US market. At least for the 2010 model year. Like I said I'm no longer interested after they released the specs and price on the car.

Enough of the 1/4 mile times debate...........
