I think it's safe to say we can disregard this guy and his Z06-eating S2K. After a little research I found out that even the S2K guys have called him on his BS.

Le Mans Master
haha, bstone owned.
I had an '05 S2000 for almost 3 years. It was a lease and I beat the **** out of it under factory warranty. It was a great car, but I had gotten out of an '01 C5 and I left the S2000 lease a bit early to get back into an '08 C6. S2000 is a GREAT ride, but I much prefer the power/torque/sound of my LS3 and the creature comforts of the Vette that the S2000 lacked. The S2000 is pretty small inside and doesn't ride good. Not that it matters much when you're sliding around corners and winding out the F20/F22 motor with the top down, but I'm a Vette guy overall.

I was on this forum looking at another issue and came across this thread. I happen to own an S2000. A little over a year ago, i joined this forum as I was trying to decide between purchasing a C5 and S2000, both of which I love for different reasons. They are totally different cars. The plan was actually to keep my daily driver at the time (an Acura RL) and to have a toy to prevent my purchasing a 2009 CTS-V, which I'd been drooling over since its introduction in 2008.
The C5....torque galore, a blast in a straight line, but not the greatest handling in the curves. It's a blunt instrument. A WONDERFUL, blunt instrument that is good looking and very, very fast. The S2000 is a high-revving, high-strung, surgical instrument that sounds much faster than it is. Handling is telepathic in the curves. It took a couple of times revving to 9k rpm for me to be completely hooked, and I bought one, a used 2002.
Well......after seeing the specs for the 2009 CTS-V, I decided I was going to buy one, so my plan to avoid a V was foiled. I mean, c'mon, it's basically a Corvette into which I can put a child seat for my three-year-old. I finally bought THAT three months ago, so now I have the best of both worlds. I have a daily driver torque monster that can actually handle well, and I have a high-revver for when I need to use a stick shift.
