Default Land Rover Freelander

Any input on how these vehicles are? Looking at an 2004 Land Rover Freelander AWD SE. This will be for a daughter, lives in northern West Virgina, mountain/hills, snow.
Thanks in advance

I'll try to put this delicately but, I don't know of a better way to say the suck. My brother in law had one for a day and it broke down after driving it home from the dealership (needed over $4k in repairs). You can do better.

Run....fast....faster
Seriously, I learned my lesson with these English cars. I had an 02 xtype and I have two friends who have land rovers. both of them hate them and are constantly having problems. Both are keeping them cause nobody wants to buy them and they have so much money invested into them that they rather just drive them till the engine dies then to take such a large loss.
