Any Porsche!? Wow, I'd take a Carrera GT or a Porsche GT2 over a C5 Vette anyday.

No.

Been in plenty, driven plenty.

You think the Vette tax is bad?

"Porsche: there is no substitute...for a large line of credit."

Ten minutes later, they're back. This sales guy out , very indignant and points to the street while telling her to get off the lot.

My wife's smiling. I'm puzzled but ok since she's smiling.

"What?" I said.

She says " Oh I just told him that his car reminds me of a VW"!

She later bought a new 1988 Fiero GT. Now she just drives her Vette.
That is hilarious! Reminds me of when I told a Ferrari dealer that the yellow Enzo in the showroom (behind velvet ropes) looks like a really big go-cart. Needless to say the salesperson didn't want anything to do with me. My hubby thought it was great!

Oh, and I would not trade the power of my 01 Z for any Porsche. I've driven my FIL's '93 911 Turbo and it is a fabulous car but I love the way the Z feels.

That statement makes more sense. But a regular C5, sorry I'd definitely have to call BS on that one.

Actually, I'd like to have both! My c5 for straight line power, engine sound, and all around good looks. A Cayman S for fun in the twisties and superb road manners. Definitely different cars for different purposes all together.
