FS 1971 Chevy Cheyenne Short Bed
1971 Chevrolet Cheyenne Short Bed. The body is rust free and over-all in very good condition. V8 engine, TH400 trans, 12 bolt 3.73 rear end. The truck has 15X8 truck rally wheels. Many new parts, including the dash pad, re-upholstered seat (with correct grained repro cover), new grill, grill surround, and front bumper.
The previous owner had the stock gas filler neck hole welded-up on the cab, and st the truck up for an "under bed" blazer tank conversion. The truck will need a gas tank to be drivable. The engine will fire if gas is dripped into the carburetor. I do not know what size the engine is, other than an early SBC engine with a driver side dipstick. If the numbers on it are that important, I will get them for you. I wasn't worried about the numbers, because I planned to install a late model LQ9 engine I had.
This is the only damage on the truck, it rubbed the trailer when the previous owner brought it home from the body shop. There is some paint lifting on the tail gate, also shown in this pic.
New tach and gauge cluster
New front bumper
The price is $6000 as it sits, or $6800 with a custom made, baffled tank, with a LSx fuel pump and a pair of Early Classics LSx Engine Swap mounts. The tank will mount under the bed, and made for this particular truck and it's bedside fuel door. The tank was made by Fuel Cell Guy on www.67-72chevytrucks.com

Dwight, it's a 2 wheel drive. A funny thing is that even though it is a short bed, it has leaf springs. I'm in Burbank, walking distance from your friend's truck shop.
