What generation Viper do you prefer?
Here is a comparison between the gen 2 and 3 Viper. The cars are identical in terms of color and shot at the same camera angle.

Imo, the GTS has more radical styling, but the SRT is way more modern. What do you all think?

I have had a few and still love the looks of the 2nd gen the best. My order of preference:
1st) Blue and white 1996-1997 GTS
2nd) 2001-2002 Creampuff GTS (I have a 2002 red white stipe GTS now)
3rd) gen 4 ACR black red stripe

My avitar is the choice I made, drove all the years wanted that look and a stock bottom end that could handle over 1000hp

For me SRT 10 vert. for top down motoring. I like the looks of the SRT 10 coupes, but want a vert. If I were going to mod the car I would go with a GTS. They're all badass and you can't go wrong with any of 'em.

I've been meaning to ask but why do some refer to certain model years as creampuff. Only thing that comes to mind for guessing is the later model years didn't have the same durable internals as earlier years?

I have driven both and it is not a huge difference. The newer ones just idle smoother. A test drive in both is needed before you buy but I always liked the newer one a little better. IMO, The older forged piston Vipers are better if you want to add FI. The newer Pnumatic pistons are better for everyday use on a stock motor. I did a lot of reading on them back about 8 years ago.
