Default Picked up a new M3

Found this left over 08 at a small BMW dealer in Mississippi. Made the trip out there yesterday and brought her home.

premium package, Tech package, 19's, extended leather, premium sound, pretty much fully loaded with the exception of cold weather package.

The car has a 1200 mile break in procedure so I've not had a chance to run her hard but I think it'll be the perfect balance of power and luxury that I've been looking for. The idrive is like trying to pilot a space ship though, it'll take some getting used to.

I got the car at a substantial discount and couldn't say no.

those seats--gorgeous.

wish we had something as good from factory in our vettes.

(that's my only gripe, however--and always has been.)

nice car by the way. have fun, tell us what it's like driving. what kind of motor is in that thing? i haven't paid any attention to bmw's in quite a few years. last m3 i knew was late '90's, a buddy had it fully tricked out from dinan w/blower, tuning, exhaust, suspension, brakes, etc. etc. darned fast, that was.

I love it! Here's me at the BMW Performance Center.

Just curious, what did you pay? 71K sticker? 57k?

That's what they guy I bought my vette from ended up in. The car rags seem to think it is the best thing since sliced bread and a couple guys I've talked to love theirs so it seems to be a pretty great car. I know the lack of torque is the one thing that takes getting used to coming from vettes. Congrats.

It is a package that includes leather on the dash, doors, and center console.

4 liter DOHC V8 414 hp with only 295 ft/lbs of torque. 8400 RPM redline.

Thanks for all the compliments. I really think I'll enjoy it. I'll give a full review after the break in service.
