This is easy, the best sounding car in the world is a:
Formula 1 car, preferably the Ferrari F1 car.
You just cannot beat an F1 engine, both in performance and sound quality.
Small liter, naturally aspirated, high cylinder engines sound the best - which basically describes an F1 engine.
2.7L, V8
But for a street legal car, I would say the best sounding is either a Ferrari 355 or F50. Specially when they red line past you.
