I just bought a new Civic instead of a used C6, opinions?

Of course, the Mazda 3 was selected, once again. Honda made the list, but as the Accord.
As long as Mazda keeps blowing away the competition, I will mention them.

I'm not sure what you're trying to achieve with this post since it looks like you've already made up your mind. Affirmation? Acceptance from the Corvette community?
The Civic is a great car which does its job very nicely. When my retired parents were looking for a car, the Civic, along with the Corolla were the cars which immediately came to mind. Very reliable, good on gas, easy to maintain and repair, etc.
Heck, I even owned a 93 DX coupe about 10 years ago. Stuffed a B20B from a CR-V into the little sucker and kicked some major ***. Really fun car which cost me next to nothing.
In any event, you can't really compare a Civic to a Corvette. Of course I'm not putting down the Civic. It's just in a different category altogether.
Personally, I would've went for a used C5 Z06 myself.

As a DD, it's hard to beat a Honda product.
We've had nothing but Honda DD's for the last 20 years. You get sick of the car before it will wear out on you.
Our last Honda Civic had 225,000+ miles on it when some crazy dude ran a red light and totaled it while my wife was driving. She walked away without a scratch thanks to the airbags and such.
I love my C5Z, but I'll always have a Honda as a DD.

I wonder how many of these guys would be supporting you if you bought the domestic equivalent with the Cobalt?

I drive a 08 Civic as my DD can't beat it 35mpg and safe. Living in NE I threw on Blizzak tires and it gets around with no problems. As long as I know I have a vette in the garage I am happy.

Cobalt came both turbo and supercharged and had as much power and was lighter then many V6's. Oh wait and you get a 100k powertrain warranty Check and mate!

Well... this is a Corvette forum so you can/should expect some bias.
