Default I think I've got my CTS-V sold...what do you think about the '10 Camaro 1SS?

I was considering used BMWs and Lotus and whatnot before....but now I looked at the military pricing and stuff for the 2010 Camaro 1SS with a 6spd and the pricing isn't bad at all...

Anyone here own one yet?

Whats GM offering for Military? Just curious as my wife is full time Army..... Thanks in advance.

Oh and I think the new SS is sweet, it would definately make for a great CTS-V replacement providing you dont need a 4 door

I just like fast, I don't care how many doors or how many seats so long as it has one for me to drive.

I think it was like 30,500 or something. Really not much of a discount. Unless I'm looking at the wrong website. Kind of disappointing.

I would love to have a new Camaro SS. I thought they were running around 39k......so that military discount seems like a smokin deal

It's only like 800 bucks off the MSRP for the 1SS.

What are you trying to show me? I don't see any fancy deals on that page, especially considering that the dealer is god knows where and I don't even see a 1SS on the page unless I'm missing it.

The suspense on this wait is killin me. I don't want to appear desperate to the woman so I am waiting for her to contact me, and haven't heard from her yet today. She said she'd have an answer for me by today but so far nothing...It's only 1pm her time though...

There isn't a lot of room on MSRP on the camaro SS ..so if you get within 500 dollars of msrp you've got what I would consider a good deal.

If I were buying a camaro it would be a 1ss and thats it.

All the other options are nice but not something I'd drop the coin on.

Good luck

I was considering trading my 08 Pont G8 GT for an 06/07 CTS-V because I want a stick shift and need the 4 doors. Why are you getting rid of yours and do they suffer from any problems I should be wary of while looking?

As to the Camaros, keep your eye on ebay, there are many dealers offering them at invoice or lower. I have heard of a few trans problems with the 6 spds but not sure how wide spread the problem is.

Honestly I've had nothing but problems with the CTS-V. It's fun to drive, but it's got a million problems, just like my Corvette did.

If you don't mind, what year CTS-V and what kind of problems have you been experiencing with the V?

Honestly the service record is four pages long since the car was bought in 2004, but just for me since last May...

EDIT: wrong thread link, lemme find the one where I listed all the problems

I'm probably forgetting something...

Problems with my CTS-V, 54k miles:

* Trunk struts are going bad, trunk does not stay open. Not covered under the certified GM warranty.
* Screen on the navigation has an odd film on it that can't be removed. The film is only partially covering it making it hard to see at times. Brought it to the dealer - it's a problem they have seen before, but it's not covered under warranty even though the screen on my car has been replaced in the past for the same problem.
* Power steering line is bad, had to be replaced
- Motor mount broke
* Starter is going bad, had to be replaced
* Seats do not always maintain memory (I wish they didn't have this feature to begin with), so sometimes you get in the car and the seat has magically moved to some unknown position that some 5'2" person had them at
* Navigation screen shows "Service Vehicle Soon"...according to dealer this is a problem with OnStar service (to which I don't subscribe) not recognizing that there is a connection...to which it is not covered under warranty and also there is no solution (except to hit OK to clear the screen).
* Squeaky brakes. Some people say this isn't a problem but it's annoying and embarrassing. This is a known deal with the brakes on the Z06 and CTS-V. Slamming on your brakes does not solve the problem. It isn't wet here in AZ most of the year, and the brakes have a ton of life left on them (to answer most responses).
* Sunroof controls went bad
Keep in mind this is only since May.

Wow, thanks.

Think maybe I should hang out over on Cadillac forums for a bit before I decide.

Well people say I have terribly bad luck with GM vehicles, my Z06 was equally ****ty. So keep that in mind when you are looking around, that you are talking to the unluckiest guy on the forums apparently.

I hate when people tell you they will contact you and then don't.
