Default Camaro SS

Drove a new Camaro SS today and while it was fast...its not in Corvette League!
Another thing I was disappointed in...THE BOSTON stereo system...I think my Bose sounds better !!

Drove one too. It felt a lot like driving the SRT-8 Challenger. Decently fast in a straight line, yes, but the car felt heavy and the suspension too soft/mushy around corners.

This is the most blasphemous statement in the history of this forum.......there is no way you were in a camaro if you think it has a worse sound system than our corvettes

Being only 43, I can't believe I'm about to say this but here goes...

I drove one also... and really liked how easy it was to get "in and out".

im trying to convince a friend of mine to pull the trigger on the V6 version....he is torn between that and the base mustang, both would cost him in the same ballpark, the camaro a couple thousand more since the dealers arent really marking down any of them.....for a 6 that motor is pretty impressive, blows away the 6 in the mustang....the only thing holding him back is he cant get over the god awful interior of the base model in the camaro....and i dont blame him.

I have my vette 07, and a 2010 SS RS Camaro, the first thing I noticed on the test drive was the weight, very heavy car!

Being 67 I remember "Very Fondly" when Chevels had a bench seat...

but I was a lot younger, and was in better shape to "Use the BENCH" Seat" LOL

The Camaro never was in the same class as a Corvette and will never be. Just fact.

Well, that's intentional, of course. Chevy marketing may leave something to be desired, but they aren't completely out to lunch.

They are two different cars designed for different purposes. They are not intended to be in the same class. Just a fact.

I'm not bashing the Camaro, but I couldn't get past that interior either. WTF were the thinking?

Just like every ugly girl has something good about her if you look for it, the Camaro must shine somewhere but darn if I can find it.

Oh yes, the motors.

As much as I did plan on buying a new Camaro and already own an older Z28 and belong to a Camaro club.I could never get pass the basic looks of most of the car.We ended up ordering a new Grandsports and were just 51 days from delivery.

I have a 2009 Z06 and a 2010 Camaro SS. They are very different cars. But without comparing all the similaries and differences between the two I have to say that the Camaro stereo is so much better than the Corvette's - it's not even close! I can say this after 5,000 miles in the Z06 and 2,500 in the Camaro... The Corvette has many things better than the Camaro (as it should for the money), but the sound system isn't one of them...

Not to mention there's about $20,000 in price difference.

PS... spent some time in a new Challenger this week... anyone complaining about the Camaro interior needs to go look at that Challenger. Wow... what a piece of junk inside. Stereo was something out of a 1999 Ram and seats don't have any sort of fast flip forward function.
