ok it's time for a new daily driver, so i was thinking of a 06-08 saab 9-3.

the wife got one as loaner when her caddy was in the shop, and i really liked how that little turbo scooted.

So any thoughts, comments or feelings would be appreciated.


Specifically:

1. likes/dislikes?

2. fuel efficiency?

3. can it be modded for more boost? and if so easy/hard?

My sister had one, purchased new a few years back. While the performance was good, the reliability was not. and given the company ownership changeover situation, I'd be very hesitant about buying one.

My wife drives a 2007. I like the car and is is easy to drive. It has been in several times for different exterior lights going out and the battery(under warranty). Other than that I like the car.

Just bought a 06 last week for the misses. I havent drove it yet but she loves it. Got an extended warranty just for peace of mind and that was a little pricey. The reviews were pretty good I thought and for the price, it seemed to be the best deal on a decent car. Good luck with your search.

My gf had an 06 for about a month as a loaner and I liked it, it was zippy and the mileage was pretty good when I wasnt stepping into that turbo. But it depends on the price and mileage and how much you like the car. I liked it as a loaner, but I don't think I'd spend the money on it as a personal preference.
