Default Looking for a new used DD. CTS, bmw 3 or 5 series, or audi a4/a6?

Tough one... i really like my wifes bmw 528i... VERY easy to work on, and very nice. I've never driven a CTS or an audi... Anyone have experience with there vehicles? Does the CTS or the audi have anything on the bmw? I'd be looking for an older car... a 2003-2005 probably.

Thoughts?

Personally for the money i would have the CTS. Just my opinion however, i guess I like that CTS-V so much that i even let the CTS have a go. Only BMW's i've driven were the M5 and 335i, both were amazing in their own aspects.

Also if you are looking around for a car, i'm about to put my 08 Lexus IS250 up for sale with 5k miles on it. Clearing out space in the garage and a few extra dollars for a C6.

My vote goes for the BMW with a splash of CTS.

I've had both, BMW and Audi, my vote goes to the Audi for better quality, repairs are not cheap, CTS is good also but can't top the other two, also, if you get passed the "old folks drive Cadillac stigma", and down the road repair cost go with GM.

My DD is an '08 CTS AWD. Besides being a slower, I think it really is comparable to a co-workers 545i that I ride in often. I would not do AWD unless you live in the north as I did before moving to Atlanta.

Just bought myself a 2010 BMW 135i as my new DD. Dont know if you know anything about it but its very similar to the 335i. Its just a little shorter in the truck and back seats. If you dont need to have adults back there you will like the car alot. Front room doesnt suffer at all. The quality is the same as the 335 and has the same powertrain. Its lighter, handles better, a little better mileage and is quicker than the 335. The 4 year maintanence free warranty is great. Give the 135 a look if your shopping around.

Take a look at the Audi S4, its AWD for the NY winters and a blast to drive. You should find some nice deals on the 2004/2005 cars.
The CTS is nice but if I were going CTS I would be focusing on the newer model as it much nicer than the first generation model. Bang for the buck you may also want to look at the Infiniti G35, Acura TL and Lexus IS
