Thinking about selling....
I've gotten to a point where I'm not sure what I want.... and honestly don't care either way.
I've worked hard on all this polish work, I'm most likely going to put an ad in the sale section and sell and put it back to stock... then sell the car.
I may stay without a car (fun car) for a while, I may get a 2nd gen Viper, or I may get a '70-'73 Trans Am.
I'm not sure, all I know is that I haven't driven my '01 Zo6 since July '09 and the love is fading.
If you want some polished parts keep your eyes out in the sale section next week!!!
p.s. Not getting a C6z

If the love is gone, then like anything in life, move on. You seem to like the early Trans Am Pontiac firebirds, and I share that attraction. So go and see if you can find a decent one and you'll be happy again. I've loved Corvettes all my life and it ain't cooling off any, so for me it a Corvette or nothing, mabye a Malibu, but then ...

You know, this whole thread is a waste of time. If it would let me delete it I would.
But since it's stuck here...
The honest truth that has me burnt is that 80+% of the people I talk to (general, or lukewarm car people) have either a snide remark about Corvettes or they don't say anything remotely positive if the topic drifts that way...
Then today at lunch with coworkers I've known for years, I find out a glimpse of the truth that most in my office HATE those cars, some even had some pretty funny things to say/jokes about vette owners I never thought of. The best insults have a tinge of truth. One lady at the table (we went to a *** steakhouse) even had a screwed up Corvette Song that had the crowd cracking up! :-/
Added to the fact that it seems many C5s are being raped heavily with funked out mods that really makes the saying "the c5 is the new c4" ring true.
So.... I'm licking my wounds, seriously wondering why I like that pile sitting in my garage... I make this post seriously thinking about things and maybe other cars, while still holding on to what I've cared about for years, and then I get an azzhole response like post #6.... and this is from the peopl that should be brothers!!?
Just damn..
What's next?

If you're as unhappy with the car as it sounds, then sell it as fast as possible and/or part out some of the mods, because it's only losing value with each day. Then just sit on the cash, look around, and wait for something to buy...
