Underrated muscle

My almost stock 87 Grand National runs 13.0's on pump gas in the 1/4 at 3700#'s. It's just got a chip, injectors and fuel pump upgrade from stock. It still uses the stock airbox.

I also interpret the OP original post as meaning classic American Muscle Cars, which include the time period of the Mid 1960s through early 1970s (1964 through 1972).

Mazda's rotary cars were all rear drive, and when pollution controls were taking their toll on V8 pony cars, the RX series got praise. Those early '70s RX2s, 3s had the acceleration of a midsize V8 family car, but from a tiny engine. They also came with a 4 speed stick, which was sporty for the day. Heavy on gas though, the only import to drink like a V8.

I owned a business next door to a Mazda dealer. All the boys in the workshop had RX3's perifial ported, extend ported or turbo charged all 13B rotaries. One of them used to drive everywhere in his and would pull a 9 second quarter on a Friday night. These cars were light and Faaaaast. The only problem with rotaries they would wear out real quick. 60 thou on a standard motor and they were ready for a rebuild.

Really guys, because there's been various cars manufactured that do this. Most notably the MR2 with the 4AGZE.
It's just a clutch, a person with basic mechanical knowledge can figure that out.
(With that said yes, the Madmax blower WAS fake though.)

Was that same motor available in the Camaro in 1969? If so, was the Nova quicker than the Camaro with the same setup?

BMW 6 series was an interesting car, just needed more engine. I know many do 400ci sb V8 swaps/conversion kits into Jag XJ-S, wonder if anyone has done that for the 6 series?

GMC Syclone and Typhoons. Most people still don't know what they are and certainly underestimate them. Know it's not a 6-71 or the typical roots blower, but many of the AMG Mercedes blowers are electromagnetically activated when it senses full throttle. Not turning otherwise, so no parasitic loss. Same concept at least. Speaking of that, the Mercedes E500 was a wolf in sheep's clothing. Brawny V8, with wide hipped, aluminum body work.

Indeed, I'd love to have a clean, simple bolt on, turbo trans am. Gotta be fun little monsters outta the hole.
Hey they even have a back seat which I need! Oh wait, there's the issue of price lol.
