Default Super 40 muffler warranty question.

I drive a 2009 Chevrolet Silverado LS 4x4 extended cab, it has the 4.8 liter V8 in it. I am highly considering the Super 40 muffler kit for it. However, my dad is paying for the truck so is understandably concerned that such a modification will void the warranty. It is my understanding that, if you modify anything passed the catalytic converter, then you are safe. I just want to make sure this is accurate information. I really hope it is because I really want this setup lol.

If anyone can give me an answer, that would be awesome. And if someone doesn't mind, post a link or something that I can show as proof that the warranty is safe lol.

Thanks for the help!
