Only problem would be that It would make the z a lot more expensive. I think if they added small turbos to the next z or kept it the same at a 10k price drop they would be in business. At a 10k price drop the 370z would be at the top of its class.

no question. the 2011 5.0 was just released months ago, and it's rapidly gone 12's, then 11s, then 10s, then 9s, then 8s!! 
And it's kind of ironic because during the 5.0 dohc development there were "rumors" the aluminum block would not be up to snuff for making big power......WRONG 
And whats even more interesting is the fact this is the mass production 5.0 and not the boss 302 block and design thats reportedly "much more robust" as far as thrashing capability.
