Get one for me too. I read an article the other day about this. The French driver was scared when he hit that top speed on the track. $2.8 million dollars...I don't know what I would do with that money. Probably buy seven ZR1s and use one every day of the week AND still have money left over to buy myself a pepsi.

You wouldn't have 2.8 million, you would have hundreds of millions or even a few billion if you are in the Bugatti owners family. When you have that much money, of course you would own one.

Super Sport
Improved aerodynamics kit, 1,200 horsepower 1,500 newton metres (1,100 ft·lbf) torque engine upgrade. It has a 431.072 km/h (267.856 mph) top speed, making it the fastest road car in production,[2][31][32] although it is electronically limited to 257.91 mph (415.07 km/h) to protect the tyres from disintegrating. It does 1/4 mile in 7.2 seconds with very impressive 32 seconds for 0-400KPH. The first five of an unannounced production run made its debut in a matte black and orange color combination, all of which have been spoken for.

Tires for that car are custom made at $10k a set. The complete service package for the car is 100k. Could you imagine that????

I doubt anyone will be going in over thier head to own one of these. I've heard that you had to purchase one of the first Veyrons just to be allowed to purchase one of these but I don't know that for fact. I think they were going to do something similar to what Ferrari did with the Enzo (must have owned a F40 and F50). Again I'm not sure if Ferrari did that for all the Enzo's but I know it was the case if you wanted to get one of the earlier Enzo's.

Reportedly, the driver was distracted by a low-flying pelican:

But nothing in the video supports that claim. And oh-by-the-way, he dropped his cell phone while trying to avoid the lagoon.
