Default SRT-8 Challenger: 6.4L and 470hp!

Don't know about you guys but, I like this car! I liked them when they first came out, the styling was on par with the original body lines, and power is there. Yes, it will not corner too well but, how many pony cars do accept the Mustang? I love the "**** you Obama we are putting a bigger engine in this beast" attitude! I know it is called a Challenger but, to me this is more of a contemporary Charger being that it has two doors and a pretty weighty car. Let the nitpicking start but, I like it. I'll take a black on black manual please

I love the way the Challenger looks, it makes good power and is a quick "drive it off the floor" hotrod. I doubt I would ever buy one as I think I would get bored of it very quickly but it is a beautiful car

One across the street from me-when I 1st saw it yea looked cool.I agree-would get bored very fast.Exhaust note-noda-sounds like a buick LeSabre coming down the block-nothing to it.Camaro at the other end of the block seems a better option-probably boring also after a month though.JMO

I used to LOVE the looks of the Challenger and was seriously considering buying one. Test drove an R/T manual and my love affair with the car died. I wonder how bad the gas mileage will be and the price tag....the previous SRT-8 already was hit with a gas guzzler tax and it was overpriced from the beginning. The front end on the Challenger is still sex on wheels but it has not aged well in my eyes from the other angles.

....kinda like the 60s - great straightline performance but plenty of muscle cars smoking their hoods in a pile of weeds off the side of a slightly agressive curve. Cars back then were getting 8-10 MPG. Perhaps the Challenger is slightly better?

I personally like charger much better then challenger. I've had 08 R/T and enjoyed the comfort, room and the torque of the hemi. Untill I decided that i wanted a sports car and traded it for a 350z. I think SRT 8 with 6.4 l will be an amazing car but overpriced and with a poor mileage.

At least with the power bump it should run a more respectable 1/4. I like the looks of the Challenger alot, looks even better in person. I wouldn't replace the vette with it by any means but if I ever decide to get a 4th car it would be a great car to add. One of my cars is a 300C awd so I am already a fan of chrysler somewhat.
