Any Pickup truck guys on board?
I'm a big Dodge truck guy. Have had a Dodge truck of some sort since I've been 18 (47 now). Anyway I'm trading in our 2010 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon unlimited on a 2012 Dodge Power wagon. I put the build sheet together and submitted it this past Monday. I'm actually really really stoked! Anyone have this particular rig?

The Power Wagon is a badazz ride Locking differentials, swaybar disconnect and winch...all from the factory, make it a beast of a stock truck!
I've never understood why they didn't offer it in a Cummins though. That would be a truly awesome truck!

Well its finally here. I go to pick the beast up Friday morning. Oh, and I've decided to keep the JKU. The trade in offer was pathetic and my oldest sons' truck is going anyway. So we'll just let him use that until he buys something a bit more reliable. Once he does we're just gonna keep the Jeep at our Florida house. I'm retiring in the next year or so, give or take a few months and plan on spending alo of time down there anyway.

I've heard it all. I am truly a Dodge truck guy. As mentioned have had one in one form or another since I was 17. 74 Power Wagon, 79 Ram Charger, 83 Ram Charger, 90 Dakota, 98 1500 extra cab, 01 Durango and now this Power Wagon. All 4X4's by the way. I've had 2 Cheby Tahoes for work trucks and they both pooped the bed. I would never buy a Chevy truck. Never had a Ford anything so I can't comment on that.

It is, and let me tell you brother..I have had my share of pick-ups (The only Dodge was 98 Dakota V8, it was a great truck)..and the Raptor is a fking blast! Your right about the vette/pu comment and I look forward to getting into the Raptor as much as I do the Vette. The powerwagon is a great truck no doubt, I just think you would be selling yourself short if you didn't take a look at/drive the Ford.

Thanks. It is in what I call the "sweet zone" condition wise because I get compliments all the time yet I can park it wherever I want without any concerns. Scratches and chips, quite honestly, just give it more character and it would take a lot of force to actually ding/dent it. The bed is unique in that it has the original (1982) wood I refinished and the sides, bulk head, outside plank on both sides and wood hold-down strips have the spray in (Inyati) bedliner product on them.

Diesels are awesome once you crank up the power. However, if I ever get to the point where I no longer need to tow a big toy hauler, I might get a Raptor instead. That will be a tough choice because I love my truck, but Raptors are pretty damn badass.

Diesels are great in year round warm weather climates, but are not winter friendly in cold climate areas.
Not to mention, Raptor = 6.2 V8 with 420 HP....No need for a Diesel as "power" is not an issue!
