Default Drove a new Ferrari 458 Italia...

...and I wish I was rich. A friend of mine runs an exotic car rental place. The Lamborghini I was set to drive broke so I just got to sit in a couple of those & man the interiors are garbage IMO. The gauge cluster in the LP640 looks like it is out of a 90s Blazer.

The Ferrari interior was a lot nicer. I still prefer the exterior looks of a Lamborghini, but if I was to buy one, I'd go Ferrari.

I was sold on the car before I even hit 2nd gear. The paddle shifting in the car was great & it was, of course a blast to drive. I like how everything is right on the steering wheel.

What else can I say? I need $400k

Some guy in a 1st gen V came by revving his car & started asking if we've "taken it to the track"

I dont know how ferrari does it...i mean i generally like the new model in most cars (corvette/mustang/viper/lambo/all germans included) but ferrari never ceases to amaze me with how awesome of machines they produce and how amazing they look just sitting still. I remember when the 355 cam out and i thought it was great, then the 360 was one of the most beautiful cars i had ever seen, then they upped it with the 430 and now the 458. Its crazy how good they are at new designs. Thanks for the pics, that all black looks mean, Sounds like you had fun.

I'm with you on buying a Ferrari versus the Lamborghini. I would have gunned that 458's fun pedal several times.
