We'll see. Lotta talk by gm these days. I dunno if it would really make sense. Camaro is going to be on that platform for 2015my as well. Sooo a $30k camaro, $40k Buick, and $50k caddy all with very, very similar v8 specs? It invites a lot of buyers on different budgets, but that might promote cannabalism of each other model.
Also, it's not set in stone for the atsv to get the v8, it might get a caddy specific turbo 6 making 400+hp. I haven't heard any hard evidence pointing either way yet other then the "a v8 will fit" for it as well.
I think Buick's current design is a monstrosity, I can only imagine a grand national to have ridiculous design cues making it further ugly. We'll see.

IMO I hope they don't build that thing it's anything but mean looking

The Grand National, Turbo T, and GNX should be left alone they are legends and IMO one of the toughest, meanest muscle cars ever created, I hate when GM tries to make a buck off a name.
If you we're strictly a corvette guy( I was a vette guy but was still a few years from getting my Permit ) , you weren't very happy in 86 and 87.
Still to this day one must be very weary when you line up with a turbo Buick , you can't really tell a 10 second GN from a 14 second GN.
Silent but deadly..

Just different heads....but I believe they were actually the faster car down the 1320 stock for stock. Either way they are both amazing. The GN just looks badazz and evil...

First the mystique behind the Turbo buicks is a turbo. The other mystique is that it was faster than the corvette with a 6 cylinder engine. What can the market possibly be? You already have the CTS-Vs at reasonable pricing with 556hp so you have your luxury sports coupe already out there. Seems like they will compete against themselves.

These turbo buicks go for the same price or more than they were new, and the GNX? I haven't seen one under 75k, more than double the price, they are special cars, and should be left that way.
