My wife was driving her 2006 c230 Mercedes the other day when it died on her. Long story short the MB dealership said the transmission and torque converter need replaced. Luckily for us we still have a warranty from MB until may 2013. So, we are completely covered and they said we won't owe them a dime! So, I'm happy we don't have to pay any money out. However, I'm a little concerned that a Mercedes with 63k miles blew a transmission. It's not like my wife drives the car like a racecar. This is our second MB, and we've owned it since 23K miles(4yrs). I was pretty convinced I'd keep buying them for my wife to drive for the rest of my life. Now I'm kinda questioning that. Anyone else have MB problems?

My 86 year old neighbor has an 04 e class that he bought brand new. The car has over 320k miles. He has the dealer do all the maintenance but he never had one problem

the b and c class really are not the mercedes quality of the cls and s class. Plus MB did not really step up their game until 08 . Before that the 00 -06 model years were lost years for MB

06 SLK AMG.. 80K miles DD and no issues. sold it a few weeks ago
06 CLS.. 90k miles.. DD no issues
99 SLK..130k miles.. no issues however it was a manual trans too. sold a couple months ago
