The '03 Mustang Cobra, dubbed the "Terminator" was Ford's answer to the formidable GM LS1/LS6 powered cars. With limited production, signed/assembled power plants and sophisticated IRS, these cars soon became worthy competitors on the streets and at the track.
Factory supercharging/intercooling made the 03/04 Cobras eager responders to mods. As such, many have been extensively modified. Not this one - no evidence of any hard mods, the only slight upgrade being Flowmaster mufflers in the factory stainless catback adding a nice bite to the factory tone.
This example also comes with a substantial ownership and maintenance history since new: warranty receipts, maintenance receipts and hand logs of general upkeep. Included are receipts and manuals for the tasteful electronic upgrades including a pro-installed Image Dynamics/Kicker Subwoofer system and the Bel Cobra hardwired radar detector. This car appears to have had a mature ownership history - very organized and complete.
As noted above, this car includes all the original SVT ownership documentation. The includes the SVT Certificate of authenticity, the letter mailed to the original owner and the original factory window sticker.
Since owning this example, I've done the usual bevy of subtle detailing and the common Cobra correction items needing attention. This included the following:
- New OEM Clutch Cable
- Renewed Lifetime Window Tint
- Pinion Seal Replaced, Bearings Inspected
- Rear End Fluid Change
- Full Interior Detail
- Clay Bar/HD Uno/Zaino Exterior Detail
- Custom Hood Graphics by Coupland Signs
- Oil Cooler Adapter O-rings Refreshed
Other things to note:
Tires are OE Size 275/40/17 Nitto NT555, Fr: 9/32";Rear 7/32"
The hood graphics were custom installed by well known artist Chuck Coupland at Coupland Signs - these hide some blemishes in the factory finish and give the Cobra a sinister flat black power bulge
Expect a few minor chips and very minor wear and tear for 65k miles
The black rubber lower spoiler does have a few scrapes, but is securely attached and functional
