Default 2004 Tahoe Z71

I have an opportunity to purchase a very clean white Z71 with 56k miles on it.

Anyone have any experience with these trucks? A friend of mine is selling it and he is the original owner. It will be replacing a very clean 2001 Pontiac GTP. I know it will be drastic change going from the GTP to the Tahoe.

Thanks!

Awesome SUVs, and that mileage is LOW. 04 is a great year, will have the 5.3L which is indestructible.

I managed to get ours to 16-18 mpg on the highway at times.

I had an '04 z71 that I bought almost new. I just got rid of it last summer (replaced with an 07 Yukon XL).

You'll love it, they're indestructible and easy to mod!

The only problem you'll almost definitely be facing, is a water pump.

I sold mine, with 98k on the clock, for $14k. This chic really wanted it though, I priced it high knowing I would've taken around $12k for it. She didn't even bother to haggle.

Good luck!

Any thoughts on what a fair price would be for one in the kind of condition and miles that I mentioned?

I paid $11,500 for my 03 with 78k miles on it 2 years ago. Sold it for $16,500 about 7 months later.

I picked up a 2004 loaded Z71 4x4 with 160k on it in for 4k a little rough but no bad on exterior back in Oct and needed some tires. I have 165k on it now and it drives and runs great.

Only issue is the gauges need be fixed as it's a common problem about $100.00 if you have someone due besides the stealer.

Well, the low miles are definitely a selling point, but I wouldn't let it raise the price outside of market value.

I'd just check eBay and Craigslist and see what the market is bringing and go from there.

I'd say $12-15k.....
