Default Shelby Releases the Snake

I searched to see if this was posted and did not find anything.

http://editorial.autos.msn.com/shelb...cid=autos_3911

I know this will be a very limited market Mustang as the price will reach $100,000. I hope GM comes out with a big horsepower C7 ZR1. Also there will probably be more C7 ZR1s than the GT500 with this option. I know a lot of you will say, "Just a Mustang" but this is a pretty rad option for the street!

C7 FTW

Who cares??? It's 100k plus for a Mustang!!!! I can think of a lot of other cars I'd rather have for that price.

It is neat and all, but I agree with GTJim. $55-68k for a GT500, plus ~$40k for the 850hp Super Snake package and then a ~$15k "wide body" option.
That's an awfully expensive Mustang. And AFAIK, the previous "Super Snakes" have not held very good value.
But yeah...the stock '13/'14 GT500's run very well, and it's going to take at least a C7 Z-variant to keep up with them in a straight line. But it's pretty unlikely they'll handle, stop and ride as well as a C7.

Do you currently have those cars you have listed below your post. Some nice cars. How would you compare the 13 GTR to the 13 GT500?

Gotta LOVE Ford for this...these guys know how to dupe everyone.

Take a 30k car and sell it to the fans for 100k+...doesn't get better.

Cobalt SS
Neon SRT

Gotta love taking an ugly *** econobox car and making someone pay big for it. Mustang does it better than anyone riding the horsies called heritage and shelby to the bank.

Yes.
The GT500 is a harder accelerating car from a roll, the GT-R is ruthless from a dig. Obviously, the GT-R is the better handling and stopping car. But the GT500 is just a fun, brutal, exciting car. There's something to be said for being unable to go over 1/2 throttle on a cold road in 2nd gear, lol.

You are aware that it's not really Ford selling the Super Snake, right?
That's not an OEM car or option package. It's done by Shelby. Granted, some dealers may have one done or put one on the floor, but it's not a Ford deal.

So, I was on the C7 forum and opened this thread. Clicked the link and read the article about the SuperSnake. First thought, that's cool and if I were Romney rich I'd buy one. Second thought, what does this have to with the C7?

Then I come back to the thread, and is listed "Off Topic-Other Cars" I love it.

I was relating it to how GM will have to hike up their skirt when it comes to making horsepower numbers on the C7 ZR1. I guess the higher ups did not either make that link or did not see it fitting.

Edit: Probably because I just put "ZR1" instead of "C7 ZR1"

The Ford dealership I worked at sold all the high end models and most dealerships will... Just like GM dealers sell special high end Vettes.

Hope the Performance Vettes make it to the 700 range.
