20 lb-ft times 6,000 RPM divided by 5252 = 23 additional horsepower over the 430 HP of the LS3 which would be 453 HP for the LT1.
You realize that your pessimism about the c7 is causing you to misread every post right.

I highly doubt that one, might come 'close' in some areas possibly but it will not outperform a C6 Z06 overall in my opinion.

To recap my post, I expect the LT1 to post similar gains in peak hp (40) over the LS3 but not the 48lbft in peak torque.
Do you understand how horsepower is calculated?

Yup. I understand that you're taking at 6000rpm numbers supplied by GM and using the hp calculation to get to 453hp for the LT1. I get it.

Hopefully we'll see something tomorrow afternoon although I said that last week.

Is tomorrow a full moon and the C7 will fly into the NCM on a broom?

I hope it doesnt. Few people on this forum would commit suicide if the C7 base outperformed their C6Z.

We all know nothing will ever outperform the C6Z.

Why not just put 500 600 horsepower. Its just a bragging number anyway.
Most might use 200 horsepower of it, will act macho and claim all sorts of
stuff but in reality nahhhhhh

although I do agree the c6 z06 will retain it's crown for another year but not by that much...

Hate to see a few old timers who justifiably love their z06 s go off the deep end...

I feel the same way. I've rarely had the opportunity to redline mine. On a public street there is simply no way to use the maximum potential of these cars. I've floored mine in a few gears and had it in the triple digits.. but I no problem admitting that I have no desire for anything faster. I cant drive my "measly" 400+hp C6 to the limit as it stands.

I'm definitely getting a C7.. but what I'm saying is I would STILL be getting the C7 if came with 450, 500 or even 600hp. The additional power is the last thing on my list. All the other improvements & upgrades that make the car much more enjoyable to drive is what impresses me. I cant help but laugh at dyno queens who need a certain number to justify their purchase.. a purchase that will never see a racetrack in most circumstances.

Why do you choose to discuss me instead of my posts about the car's horsepower?
