SWEET, you bought the baddest of the bad Challenger, the SRT 8 with the 392 ci Hemi in it!!

I daily drive my 2008 First Edition Challenger SRT8 and Love it, but yours has a lil more power.

There's a guy around the corner from me with one. Have been trying to run him for awhile and he just won't. Love those cars and that 392 is wicked sounding.

Op if I may ask, why you've even bother with the R/T? When I was looking for cars I was interested in Challengers and made my mind up that I would rather have a used SRT instead of a new R/T, even the 6.1 to me is a better option than the 5.7.

I ordered at Challenger last June...
When it still didn't come in by October, I picked one off the lot.. (RT)
The SRT8 definitely is sweeter by a mile!

I read over on challengerforumz.com that the 5.7 cars are having timing chain issues. I assume you didn't have the car long enough to experience any but, do you know if Dodge is addressing the issue or if people there are just making it bigger than it really is?

Gees, these things can be fast. I say can be, because I've encountered several at the drag strip that were pretty slow compared to my car. But, a month ago, I ran a Charger that the guy said was stock except for a tune, and drag radials and had also been lightened by taking out seats and stuff. He eventually ran high 11s in that trim.

Congrats on your new car...you're going to like it...a lot!
