Mopar Jimmy stays true to his name with recent 600HP Viper Purchase & no mor C6 Z.
Well I guess there is a reason why many of my old friends here named me Mopar Jimmy a few years ago. I LOVED My C6 Z it was a great car and served me well for over 3 years, but it was time to get into a 600HP, bone stock, 2009 Viper SRT 10 limited edition VOI Coupe, with only 6,400 miles on it.
The biggest shocker is that my old 1969 Plymouth Roadrunner tribute car was not being used enough and I got tired of the old school technology and just wasant enjoying that car enough, so I sold them both for the exact Viper depicted in link below and banked some good money by downsizing.
I am very happy with my SRT8 Hemi Challenger SRT8 as my daily driver and my new (to me) 2009 Dodge Viper SR10 as my weekend warrior street legal race car. The Viper is STUPID fast with its 600HP and 560ft lbs of toruqe, 510 cubic inch V10 engine. I also LOVE the fact that you really don't see any Vipers on the road and I have never seen the one in the color scheme limited edition that I bought (and I love the exclusivity of that).
Here are pics and info of the exact Viper I got. It a limited edition Viper Owners Invitation car, 80 of 100 made special edition, silver with awesome black wheels and fang stripes no doubt my favorite color schemes.
Scroll down the link for a ton of pics. of my car.

I have been on this site for 12 years and as long as I'm alive I will still be around here.
I have been a Vette owner for the last 20 years and they are AWEOME machines and this is my first Viper and I have been thinking about owning the 600HP 2008-10 Viper ST10 Coupe for several years now. Maybe in a few years I can get a non-numbers matching clean driver 67 Vette 427 Roadster for my next vette (Silver and black of course).

Congrats!!! I also got out of a C6Z and into a 600 hp Viper. That was over 4 years ago and I still LOVE the Viper. It sits in the garage next to a 67 427 Corvette vert.

Thanks guys I appreciate the kind words and I am really happy with my decision, especially as I see more and more issues with the LS7 engine, and knowing the drivetrain on my 2009 Viper Coupe is bullet proof, and that 510 c.i. 8.4 liter monster 600 HP n/a engine is just AWESOME, along with the extremely aggressivse American race car exterior styling of the Viper 2008-10 Coupe, which has always been by far my favorite Viper.

Comgrats Jimmy!!!, only now will you truly know what the viper is all about, like you(so far) I've had many vettes, but only one viper.
The owner experience alone and actually driving a hand built monster, will give you insite as to why , viper owners defend and love their cars so much .
I made the same move as you did from 2006 Z06 to viper and don't miss the vette one bit.
I'm on the hunt for a turn key mint condition 10 second GN as I type this( I have a few already on my list) it will replace my boss, I have to scratch that itch, just like I did with the viper, I know I wont regret it a bit, as you won't regret your viper purchase , you will now never not have a viper in your stable, this I promise you
Get ready to have people follow you with their cameras.
There is a new performance pcm that is being released so you can tune, in the mean time, you have to do the whole exhaust, m&m's and borlas sound great on all vipers, will give you 50 HP without any cel's American racing headers are great, as well, you really can't go wrong with any, but its a must do, just for sound

Very Very Nice! I recently sold my Gen III and got into a 5,000 mile 08 ACR and absolutely love it. By far and away the best car I have owned.

You're a lucky man, congrats! Nothing at all wrong with owning that sexy beast. Enjoy and don't be afraid to drive it. I know there are plenty local to me but man those guys NEVER drive their cars unless it is to a meet.

Great move, Jimmy.
I just sold my 09 ACR and ordered a 2014 Viper GTS in Viper racing yellow and black stripes, hoping to get it by Sept or Oct.
You'll love the snake. Be a little careful as they have been known to bite!
In my case I couldn't give up my 12 ZR1 but I do loves me some snake
