Infiniti Q50
I plan to purchase a new daily driver late this year or early next year and I was curious what forum members think of the new Infiniti Q50.
This car replaces the Infiniti G-series sedan which has proved to be a winner for Infiniti and for the owners. I almost pulled the trigger on a G37 sedan earlier this year, however I felt that platform was dated, especially the interior and technology options, so I decided to wait it out a little longer knowing the new Q50 was coming for 2014.
I also like the new Cadillac ATS and perhaps even the 2014 CTS depending on the price. I'm not really a BMW kind of guy, however their 3-Series sedan continues to be the segment leader. It has to be rear-wheel drive though. No more winters so no more front wheel drive for me.
Thoughts and opinions?
BTW, my current DD Acura just crossed the 200K mile mark and it's still looking good after a bath!

I am very excited too about the Q50. I just wish they didn't botch up the name and had kept it in G series. There is tremendous brand recall for G sedan and coupe and i don't know why Infiniti decided to name their bread and butter model as Q50.
But i love the looks and interior looks pretty awesome. I feel this and ATS are the only cars that gives good competition to segment leader - 3 series with G having an upper hand.
I have a G35 and have been very happy with it. A great sedan that could use a few tweaks to interior and engine noise. But it is a proper sport sedan that puts on smile whenever i drive it just like C6.
The introductory price was very good and final pricing is in great ballpark since it will be $10k-$15k cheaper than C350/335i/IS350. I am digging this and can't wait it to show up at dealer. May as well trade my G35 in for this.

I've been an Acura guy for the last 15 years. I had a Legend and a TLS that combined have logged over 400K miles. I just don't like the design of the current TL and I definitely want to go back to a rear wheel drive car.
Below is an Infiniti Q50 demo video. The center console with the two touch screen monitors is almost too much. It looks like they integrated an iPad. Although it's great technology, it's sort of scary thinking that drivers are now driving with so many distractions. Calendar and Facebook integration?!

Can't go wrong with Infiniti. I just sold my DD a 2009 FX-35 and looking for a FX-50 to replace it with.
My wife drove a 1999 Infiniti I-30 for 12 years, sold it and purchased a BMW 328 Xi, she is not happy with the BMW and misses the Infiniti.
Neither car ever gave us any problems.
