It wont be that light. Sorry. They want to add IRS which is heavier than the current set up and they also are getting more and more safety equipment. The V6 "might" be a little lighter but willing to bet a V8 model will be still almost 3,500 lbs. Which is good and espeically if it has 450+ hp.

I remember reading something about the Caddy ATS coming in around 3400 lbs with a 4 banger. However, they mentioned that a V modle would be heavier because they would have to use much beefier suspension parts and bracing.

Would be interesting to see. I am loving my new 2014 V6 Mustang. Almost as much HP as the older GTs and averaging 27-28mpg combined (done by calculating, not the DIC). What's not to love? Just a base model but loving the HIDs and auto dimming mirror! Plans to trade it on a 5.0 this winter but now waiting to see what the new 2015 Mustang brings to the table
