I know they used to do it,but still?I'm thinking of buying a 2009 G8 the dealer won't show me the fax,is it still OK here if I get a VIN?

What do you mean by, "is it still ok if you get a VIN"? Do you mean for someone to run the carfax for you for free instead of you paying for it yourself and spending your own money to research a car you want to buy?

Or did you mean is carfax still in existence? Sure they are, get the VIN, sign up and run the check. Very easy.

No need for one of us to run the CarFax, obviously it contains very negative info.

Found it, the carfax,thats what I implied here are there any alternatives, ways to get them ,instead of paying 40$ bucks when you'll probably never need one again,esp. if you're like me,& buy mainly new cars.Ther are I found out by a little reseach,note to some here.It was on dealers WS,also found out you can get info by state titling thru your State BMV!

4 owners 2 were dealers.Car bought at auction.Clean title,no accident report.Went thru electrical harness body repair?Milage checks at 41260,reported as low milage car by CF,base model, no options.Came froM Bossier City LA.One of the owners took off stock air box put in & I mean rigged a K&N,put in an Alternatve MPG Hydrogen ,Water injection sys. That scares me.All rotors replaced by dealer,hard braking?Dealer will not put on original box ,filter & duct work,he said its not with the car & won't do at at his expense.Its a 3.6/256 HP V6,did'nt seem that much more peppy tham my 08 Impala 3.9.Of course no where near my dynoed 390RWHP C5 ,but this will just be a DD,to replace my Impala.

Inside & out looks like factory new.17,670$ & wont budge.I think I'll wait for it to sit longer,its been there for at least a month.2 center caps are missing from the D/S wheels?Brand new Sumitomos all 4.Test drive appeared to have a little notch when turning SW,R&P going?
