Default Buying used '11 C63 AMG, any tips

Hey all as the title says, I'm about to close the deal on a used 2011 C63 AMG with the AMG Perf pkg (P31) and the LSD (471) as well among other packages. The car has 50k miles which is my only concern. Any issues maintenance wise I should be aware of from owners of this car here. I'm well aware of the headbolt issue that affected the 08 through 10 cars and resolved for the MY11 cars. The car will be my daily driver, replacing my reliable and heavily modded 03 G35 sedan. It will look good parked next to the vette. I have been looking in the mercedes forums as well but any input from the members here, is greatly appreciated.

Awesome cars, period. but I would look for a certified one or buy some sort of extended warranty. That's all I got.

Yes the warranty on this one is already expired, I have both the carfax and autochek and both are clean, 1-owner car. Just wandering if anyone here has been an owner and can provide some user feedback. Buying more warranty from MB will be prety pricey but possibly worth looking into since it will be a DD car.

I've had a few MBz and still have one. Only one has been an AMG. They've all been great cars and little maintenance. As long as this one hasn't been beat on, 50k mi is nothing for an MBz. A warranty isn't a bad idea, but look into the aftermarket ones. Much more affordable.

oh.. forgot to mention.. We took our CLS off roading once too. The air adjustable ride height jacked up, and bicycles on a rack in the back, we hit the dirt roads in Utah for some off road bicycling. We did get some really goofy looks from the truck guys.

Some things to ponder/consider as you think about making this purchase...... That is definitely higher mileage on that car, how many miles per year do you plan to drive it? How long do you plan to keep it? Exiting that car with 6 figure mileage could prove to be a challenge. German reliability is at an all time high so while you may not have Japanese reliability it hopefully won't be a car with too many issues. If you do have a major failure it's going to be pricey. I wrestled with making a similar type of decision when I purchased my S4 last year... initially I was looking at cars that were a couple of years old to try and save a few $$$. In the end I ended up buying a new one as I didn't want to start off with a car with a bunch of miles already on it and I wanted the piece of mind of a full warranty. There were also some updates for the 2013 model year (both cosmetic and functional) that I definitely wanted. In the grand scheme of things you may want to hold out for a lower mileage car that is certified that will afford you some piece of mind as well as give you a better buffer for racking up your own miles. Whatever you decide... Good Luck!!!!

You are outside of the headbolt issue with these cars 2009-2010. So enjoy and be prepared to buy several sets of rear tires.

The low end torgue is insane

I rented one in Vegas and I was spinning every time I barely touched the pedal.
