Why do I see more and more exotic and high-end cars running Montana plates? I see DoctaM3 has Montana plates on his Aventador, and I recently saw them on a Porsche 911 Turbo and the guy is definitely not living in Montana. I know people used to use South Dakota or Oregon to avoid tax, but I don't see any such advantage to Montana, and their plates didn't look particularly cheap. Any ideas why?

Fairly common among high end motor homes as well. Get caught and the fine is triple what the sales tax amount is - at least here in TN.
