For the love of God...does anyone in this country do anything but drag race? I don't even wanna watch the damn video. Go on the Porsche forums...you won't see anything like this...nothin. New porsche comes out, they all wanna go to the road course, not the quarter mile.

Also, to make it worse it's roll racing... the lowest form of automotive racing imo. It takes the most difficult part of drag racing (also not a fan, especially regarding a car like a z06) out of the equation.
Regarding the video... I like the sounds of the cars at least haha

It's everywhere....all through these forums. I mean, just look in the general forum sticky's...the "C7 Fast list"....fast as in road atlanta times, or leguna seca or road america...nope...drag strip.
Why don't we have stickies for fastest documented road course times to inspire people to get out, record runs and actually drive these cars? Why...cause these forums are dominated by old drag racers that's why. Corvettes...the increasingly sophisticated car with the eternally stagnating buyers. I mean...I read a guy who said this car should have a louder supercharger and a LINE LOCK!!!

Instead of buying some slow 9 or 10 second street car go to racingjunk and buy a real race car.
Here's one. A Jerry Haas Camaro. 5.90's at 250 miles per hour.

There seems to be a lot more high performance cars at reasonable prices to chose from now. I recall that when the C6 Z06 arrived there were only a handful of competitors at high prices.

this roll race events that are popping up are nothing but a bunch of guys that got the boot from the drag strip cause they have no safety equipment. Whomever the underwriter is insurance company that is taking on these risk must be nuts!

exactly. not that the c7z isnt a great car, and looks like it will be awesome on the track, but when the C6Z came out its performance dropped jaws.... i guess its just a little disapointing that C7 isnt doing the same.

Burning Brakes
I will admit, the down low torque of the C7Z is impressive...
But with this roll racing trend, no one really does 1st gear rolls. Traction is too limited to get a good run. Most rolls seem to be about 60-140, which is not good for the C7Z.
