New Camaro right on the C7's heels. Time to order those Superchargers

Chevy really stepping it up. Impressive for 37k.
Guess the ball is in Ford's court now. Can't wait to see what these GT350R's do at the track (road course)

not taking anything away from the Camaro or the hell cats or the GT350s but none of them are in the purchase equation for me vs the vette, first I don't need a back seat and second none do it for me in the looks dept compared to the C7, heck for me you can even keep the prev gen vettes, the C7 won me over as a "total package" performance, looks, interior, it just trips all the right triggers

I know 1/4 mile times aren't everything and with mods its a moot point often, there will always be ford / Chevy / mopar guys but it's still bragging rights. And plenty of bench top racers. Plus it's fun to talk about.
I wonder how many people on here actually take their corvette to the track? I bet it's a small portion, but you still like having the aura of being a track machine.
I do track. Summit point WV and VIR soon.
As I said I'll be anxious to see what the SS can do. Even the lower trim models have more guts than the Ford equivalent. I suspect Ford will make some changes soon.
Good lord 15Stingray look at all those toys. You order the hellcat charger or challenger?

We spent the last two weeks driving a rented Camaro around New Mexico, Arizona and Utah and were not impressed with the way the Camaro drives. Granted, it was a 5th gen rental, but it was a 2015 with 11,000 miles on it and it felt very loose compared to the Corvette. I'm not sure how much they can tighten up the 6th gen, but it's definitely not as tight a ride.
The 2016 convertible is a good looking car though.

I really like them. I wouldn't trade my C7 for it, but they're very nice. I think the interior is great too. I hate the mustang's interior.
If I didn't use the chevy volt to it's full potential (and I do) I would have considered a vert V6 cylinder

It's great that the new Camaro is much better in all aspects than the previous generation. I just hope that theres not a million of them on the road like there is now, but I'm sure I'll be wrong. It always tends to be the Camaro and older Mustang generation owners that always want to race. The newer Mustangs are looking pretty sharp looking and the owners seem to be more mature.

For Vette and Camaro lovers out there. If you don't have quite enough money for the Vette,
Maybe purchase the Camaro. It looks like it's nearly the same power.
Us Corvette owners might need to add to our engines to keep the Camaeo behind us.

According to the numbers... nope, the stingray is still faster. Also, at-speeds or on a track, the stingray will eat that car up.

I have owned a 98 Z28, fiance used to drive a ZL1 and now has a 1LE so you can say we are both Corvette AND Camaro enthusiasts in my household.
Glad to see that the Camaro is continuing to win the pony car wars! Excellent car for the money.

I don't know why there is such contempt for Camaros on this forum.
It's a four passenger car built on a lower budget. It's not a direct competitor to the Vette.
But I'll tell you what, a well driven Camaro will wipe the floor with a Corvette driven by an average driver. I have seen this happen on many weekends, so if any of you snooty C7 drivers plan to attend SCCA or NCCC events and a Camaro shows up, I would be careful about thumbing your nose at him. You might get embarrassed.

I was a Camaro owner for years 67 and 88 iroc-z but I don't care much for the new design, glad the numbers are up though

Corvettes and Camaros shouldn't be but do compete with each other. Last years Z28 was solidly in the C7 arena with price and performance. Then toss in family seating as an added benefit. With the "pony war" in full swing GM will not weaken the Camaro's performance. The competition is more about sales more than anything else. That question that a Corvette buyer doesn't want to hear ..."Ok honey; where are you gonna put the kids?" dahhhh??? It has a V8, 2 doors, 4 seats and costs less......a Camaro...

Doubt sales for the C7 will slow down and for the Camaro pick up.

sweet!!! If I had the money I'd have a HELLCAT next to the Vette as well.
The Camaro is a different car..feel wise. I much prefer the Vette regardless of Horspower..

I did not say the price on a Z28 made sense other than to keep production numbers low. Hellcats and Shelby's and C7's are a bargain in comparison. The 1969 ZL1 camaros sat on lots sometimes for years
