You’re in luck sports fans, for 2017 Chevy plans to offer the 1LE track pack on both SS and RS Camaros. Yes, you can now get a V6 with wider wheels, sticky summer rubber, track-ready suspension, aero aids and super cooling. There have even been rumbles Chevy might treat the turbo four to the same love.

I think this new 1LE crushes the BMW m2 and M4, the Audi S5, the Mercedes c63 and the new mustang gt350.

I think the value performance equation of the new 1LE will be unbelievable.

I think the track performance will be class leading....

I think the price if anything like the 5 gen camaro 1LE with the addition of the cost for MRC will be an excellent value...

If I needed a 2 plus 2? No question this 1LE would be top on my list....

Will it offer the BRW (bigger rear window) option?

How does it crush the gt350? Have they been tested yet?

Because Al O. insinuated to the press it would. Who needs actual instrumented testing?

Camaro has fully gotten my attention with the new platform, versus having near zero of my attention with the old one. My girl is prepared to trade her BMW for a 1LE this summer.

You have a cool girlfriend...

That new v8 1LE is pricing out under 40 large ...probably by a dollar but still this is the exact car I'd purchase if I were in the market for a 2 plus 2 coupe....

The 1LE has all the right parts and is priced really well especially considering what it offers...

Well done GM...

This car will MSRP a lot higher than $40K. I have no idea why anyone thinks it will be cheap.

It's a good performance car but, "crush" a GT350 LOL. Yeah okay sure.

Crush is such a strong word to throw around. It may best the GT350 (not the R version), but it will so close that it could be called a draw depending on driver. Such a shame that the Camaro lacks outward visibility.

An SS running with a GT350? I'll believe it when I see it. I like Camaro but, some suspension tweaking, vinyl wrap and oil coolers, aren't going to change the GAP in performance that substantially.

With the new tails & spoiler on the 1LE, they fixed the rear. I'd drive it. When do they hit dealer lots?

The base MSRP was stated by Chevy that the price of the v8 1LE will be under forth grand...probably by a dollar...and without destination which often is 995 but 40 grands a dam good price.

Gm also states the 1LE is faster on the track than the ford GT350

http://www.carscoops.com/2016/02/che...o-1le-can.html

Hit the link and decide for yourself. The gt350 and m2 are cool rides...

It's just that the 1LE v8 camaro will smoke me for around 10 grand less...

Price not being the only aspect of coolness on the new camaro v8 1LE ...

I dig the new three piece rear spoiler over the camaro SS spoiler thing...

The recall seats standard as is the npp exhaust on the v8...

MRC suspension makes for a hell of a handling package that also rides pretty well on the street...

Add up all the parts of the 1LE and as long as you want a manual transmission as no automatic trans is available....

It's hard to pass up on a 1LE camaro if your in the market for a 2 plus 2 performance coupe...

In my opinion....in the forty fifty grand price range....it's camaro 1LE
Ford mustang gt350, BMW m2, dodge challenger scat pak..

What did I forget? The new Infiniti g60 with the 400 hp twin turbo v6?

Looks a little bizarre...no pricing yet and probably a little soft around the edges...

Lexus rc f v8 has 467 hp but again it's a little weak in the performance area...and not my taste when it comes to looks..

I might be missing some others in that 50 grand price range but for now the camaro 1le, ford mustang gt350 and BMW m2 are the leading three with the 1LE being the least expensive and the fastest on the track with some dam good looks as an American muscle car...

I will send you a money order for a case of your favorite beverage if a 1SS with the 1LE package MSRP's for less than $46K including the $995 destination charge.

It sounds like jerrivette is advertising for GM. LOL at a 1LE being cooler than a GT350. Ill take a GT350 with that 5.2 FPC motor anyday.

Mag ride + bigger brakes will = a camaro well into the $40's. I agree with garagelogic, car will be $46k. The first year GT350 was $47k and that came with 2-peice brake rotors from factory.

I'm with you guys I thought for sure the 1LE would be at least 43 grand....one of the interview threads said Al O mentions below 40 grand so I posted it up here..

As far as advertising for GM...? Find a better factory performance vehicle for the coin.

Don't shoot the messenger....I'm just digging the 1LE package being offered..

You prefer a different car other than the 1LE? Go for it...

Even if it's slower...it's all good.

How come they don't paint the hood on a 50 thousand dollar car?

They do paint it, then they cover it up with a dime store piece of vinyl wrap thinking it makes the car look "cool". Personally, I think it makes it look cheap.
