A little backstory: I had been searching for a clean CTSV in the Florida area but everyone I came across either had way over 100K miles and/or simply wasn't taken care of properly. Then one day a mint Redline red came up on forums. It was an 2005 (LS6), with less than 67K miles, 3 owners, clean Carfax, AND it has warranty until 100K. A strange feeling came over me and I knew this would be mine. Sure enough after a few hurdles of paperwork and selling my 2014 Cruze LTZ RS (at the time) I was ready to purchase the car. Minor detail, the car was in Wichita, Kansas. At the same time, my very good friend (Geared on this forum) was also picking up a car in the mid west. We both flew out of Florida to Atlanta, then I flew from Atlanta to Wichita, and he flew from Atlanta to Omaha, NE. We both got to our destinations in the morning, picked up our cars, and drove to meet each other in Kansas City, MO. The drive down to Florida was a blast and one hell of a way to get to know our new cars! Bottom line, I could not be happier with this purchase!!!
The lack of sleep is clearly visible...
Within hours of owning the car, I was stopped at the Georgia-Florida border line...Boy was that fun! Trooper was very cool and mentioned that I was the first ever Cadillac he had pulled over that had a 6 speed in it. Had a great conversation about Corvettes in general and even let me snap a funny video of him.
Had to stop for food.
Love being able to pickup all the groceries and still haul A$$
Overall could not be happier. Stay tuned for a very tasteful build!!
