Default Battery age?

Hey, can anyone tell me the age of this battery? It's been in my '04 GMC truck a long time but still works fine. I am replacing it anyway.
Thanks, Frank

I suspect it is the original - 12 years old! I am looking to find out how to determine this.

Thanks Boss. I'm pretty sure it is. I'm hoping someone can confirm for me the dating codes on it. The truck isn't babied, stays outside in the cold - not garage kept at all.

It could be. 4 is either 2004 or 2014, the E is May, Z is the plant code.

Thanks waupachino. It's definitely not a 2014 battery. I didn't buy the truck new but I have had it for many years and have never replaced it.
I installed a new 800 amp Delco. I expected to maybe feel the engine spin faster cold or something [we are having some cold days] but the old one performed about the same as the new one.

I hope the new one serves you better then the luck I've had with my latest 2 AC Delco Batteries, both 7 year and both got replaced under warrantee right before the free replacement period ended. I got lucky with that, but my prior 2 had lasted the full 7 years plus. I hope the quality isn't deteriorating.

I understand that the original battery was made in North America. The replacements are not, no high expectations on this one.
