It's actually a 2016 V3 so not so impressive as that's what it should be doing or maybe a tick quicker.

This one is more impressive. Bone stock down to the tires.

Magazines like Car and Driver were doing 11.8 sec passes. So, trimming a full half second with tire upgrades is impressive.

less impressive actually. The CTSv can hold 4 people in total comfort and has a real, useable trunk.

I was talking performance, not luxury. They are the same drivertain and weigh almost the same, so as stated previously, the ZL1 run is more impressive than that CTS-V run (unless he ran with 3 passengers in it).

Camaro is about 220 lbs lighter, with rear tires that are larger (305 vs 285). Of course, I assume that the DRs are the same size as stock.

The 4 people in total comfort is a bit of a stretch. Have you ever sat in the back of a CTS? There is no head room or leg room. Granted it's still roomier than a Camaro but it's not comfortable.

the new one? Yes, there's a lot more room than in the 2nd gen. I found it plenty comfortable.

Drove a V3 couple of weeks back. Plenty of room in the back... had a V2 and the difference in room is noticeable. V3 is one helluva amazing car! May sell my Audi and go back to a V next year!

I didn't realize there was that much more room in the V3. I'll have to check it out.

Very nice staged, quite impressive, how much HP and TQ does a CTS V come with from the factory?

its my car, and it is bone stock and that pass was with a little over 500 miles on it.

honestly, drag radials have about no effect on the CTS-V because of the TQ management. I cut 1.80 60 foots on super sports, and 1.75's on drag radials.

having had 2 9 second CTS-V's, I can say first hand that the V3 is a bad *** car and I love all aspects of its performance.

fastest stock V3 on drag radials is 11.2@125 and that was after a bunch of passes. I think that car ran 11.40 on super sports.

that black ZL1 is owned by the guy that had the fasted bone stock 5th gen zl1, and even he agrees that the tq management holds that car back too.

the ATI zl1 was at the track last time I was there running and he ran 11.22 on drag radials, and I ran 11.41 on the same set of drag radials.
