Traded in the Corvette today
So I traded in my beautiful 14' stingray today. As some of you know my wife and I recently had a beautiful baby boy so the days of two seat sports cars are now behind me at least for a while. Anyway the c7 was the best of my 3 corvettes and it will be missed. I only had 9 months with it but they were great. I'm happy to say that I owned a c7 as I fell in love with it the day it was unveiled. I had an amazing final 500 mile drive with it this morning from NY to Ohio. All that being said this new 2016 charger hellcat is amazing beyond words. POWER is just begging to be used. It is incredibly comfortable and sits on the road beautifully. It is a very mean car but also very civil when you decide to be. I haven't been just yet lol.
Now onto the Corvette. She did me PROUD! I bought the car nine months ago for 47k with 8k on the odo. After almost a year of ownership and 5k miles I traded it in today for 44k. I didn't expect to get that much for my base 2lt. All my corvettes have done very well at trade in and this in was no exception.
The dealer. What an incredible experience. The folks over at Park Auto group in Akron Ohio are just absolutely amazing. I have never met such a great group of real qaulity people.
My Corvette will be for sale there in the next few days. They are going to service it even though it is really unnecessary and also probably put new tires on it. I HIGHLY recommend anyone looking for a c7 stingray to consider this dealership and my car. Neither will disappoint. If you decide to call this dealedhship as for ED he was fantastic.
By the way I will post a comparison soon but comparing these two completely different cars won't be easy at all. They are on opposite ends of the spectrum.
Here are some pics of the Corvette and the new hellcat.

Corvette looks mean and great. I like the Chevy RV in the background. Hellcat I wouldn't be seen in it. But good luck and thanks for sharing.

You'll be back!
In the meantime, enjoy that little kid of yours. As the father of two daughters who've blessed me with 7 grandkids, I'll tell you that time goes really fast. Before you know it, your little one will be graduating college and you'll be looking at getting a C10.
Enjoy that Hellcat...

So many people are moving over to the Hellcat world. As I always say, I am an all around car guy so, unlike many, I appreciate them all. Congrats!

The corvette loyalist out in full effect. I would take a HC challenger over a C7 stingray any day of the week and twice on Sunday. You think the waxer crowd is bad in the C7Z community, imagine those that bought a Stingray.

Melting Slicks
I don't know about the upper trim lines (hellcat, srt) but every one I know who has brought a dodge / chrysler has ... well... experienced poor quality. I'm speaking of neon's, pt cruiser, sebring, previous gen pacifica, dart, intrepids.
The look of the charger has grown on me though. It would have to be an SRT8 or hellcat but then I'm not sure I would want to go in on a dodge/chrysler considering the experience I've seen others have.
