Nah... I think it's ugly as s#!t, honestly. Never liked the look of the Challenger. Incredible numbers, for sure... 70's styling, not so much.
Now if they would have dropped that power in something that looks like the Viper... might be a different story.

Ok I'll bite. The Demon is a 1 trick pony, straight line acceleration. The Z will actually handle corners. My buddy just bought a Demon. I'm looking forward to driving it. Glad Dodge is making it, but it's a very different kind of car.

Concur with all post. Ugly and non practical. Like most news/reviews- its just a hype. I will give it a thumbs up for being the fastest production car but behind that gimmick is no seats, no carpet, skinny tires, etc. and a perfect run for that time. I can build many cars that run 9's for the $80,000+ they are asking. I just am not into it personally.

I have a Z06/Z07 and a hellcat challenger, was number one on two dealers demon list, but now they both want a 50k adder, for a DODGE, not happening here. My hellcat has been great, first dodge product I have ever owned, and it's been WAY better than I could have dreamed, but it's no corvette.

Interesting thread topic, but that's a big NO! Not even close.
If I was going to drop $100k+ (With presumed markup) on a car, it would not be a Demon.
I would go so far as to say if I WON a Demon in a raffle, I'd be selling it in short order...maybe after I broke it in a little.

You mean, "Would you give up everything for 158 HP?" (840 is only on race gas)
There is nothing better about the Demon except potential collectibility. The Z06 is as collectable as a Cavalier (and that's fine with me, I'm not keeping it forever).
Have you ever driven by a Challenger in your Z06? They might as well be the size of a RAM.

Nice car but, certainly not an upgrade!

This thread is funny ..
As stated it would not be an upgrade going from the Z06 to Demon. I love what Dodge has done though however. I believe the widebody version of the Hellcat will reap many more benefits from this ploy than the actual splash of the Demon.
On markup Dodge is verifying the cars go for MSRP with the bill-of-sale, anything above the MSRP the dealer is subject to experience delays in receiving their allocation(s). Which should steer people to another dealer. But anyway, hats off to Dodge ... Hope the car lives up to the hype, I look forward to seeing some on the road. But trading down is not an option... Ever ...

I don't think many Demons will go over sticker. Maybe only the last one of a dealer's allocation. At least that's what I am seeing at the dealers I have talked to about it. Of course, there's a lot more dealers than that in the US and A.
