Here we go. Another thread on every other car sucks besides the Corvette. I'd kill to own a Demon or a GTR or a 350R. I love my Vette but trust me it has its problems too.

At the drag strip you should worry as the Demon will win. Love my Vette but the Demon is built for those who appreciate the power and it's 1/4 mile performance.

There is so much more to a car than straightline speed. Honestly a GTR that you strip out the interior on and do some light mods will take a Demon.
It's cool Dodge made one but it's a complete one trick pony and most people are going to add the front seats, rear seat, trunk carpet, heated says, sunroof, etc, etc and all that weight loss and then some is added back in.

Went out for a drive this evening, cruised with one for a while with manufacturer plates. Not my cup of tea, but sounds so wicked. Some second gear jumps, just playing around together, having fun. Damn thing sounds like a freight train from hell when you get on it. Makes the hellcat sound like a kitten.

I'm a life long vette junkie ( presently on my 9th vette, a 2014 Stingray), and have owned a lot of other fun cars too. The Demon is a waaaay cool factory super hot rod and guys are gonna have a ton of fun running around in them.

Sure, the Demon is fast in a straight line, 1320 feet at a time. If that's the way you drive your car, go for it. Just take it easy turning onto the return road at the end of the strip, or you might find yourself on your roof in the weeds. I drove one of these beasts a week ago, and yes, they go like a raped ape . . . and they corner like a rhinoceros on a wet clay bank.
To each their own.
