Default Sold. FS Rare Garage Find 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP Daytona 500 7700 orignal miles

This is the original Daytona 500 with 7,711 miles. This 1 still looks like it has been bought right out of the factory 0% rust. Supercharged OHV V6 3.8-liter Odometer: original 7711 miles Exterior Color: Silver Original Condition: Perfect almost factory new still has the new car smell. Original tires that came with the car also brand new. It is a Daytona 500 edition dedicated to the premiere event in Nascar racing. The Daytona 500 edition was a limited production run of only 2000 cars with a special trim package added to a Supercharged GTP model. The Daytona 500 package includes a Nascar inspired rear spoiler and roof fences. The front is adorned with special edition heat extractors on the hood. Checkered Daytona 500 decals on each side accentuate the Galaxy Silver Metallic paint. It was given unique 16" polished 3 spoke wheels. The interior has two tone leather seats in dark and light gray with an embossed Daytona 500 logo. A plaque was placed on the console indicating that this was one of only 2000 cars made. This Grand Prix also includes the GTP package that gives it performance and luxury features. It is equipped with a supercharged 3.8L V6 that generates a heart pounding 240 hp to back up the Nascar styling. Luxury abounds inside, starting with the 6 way adjustable power, heated drivers seat, sunroof, Bose stereo, heads up display.

This car spent the majority of it's life in a garage keep under a car cover with in one family only driven on nice days to show. Just recently found an acquired. The underneath show no sign of rust, exhaust, brake lines, fuel lines all are rust free. This is probably the lowest mileage Grand Prix GTP Daytona 500 you will ever find. It is used and being sold As Is. Never wrecked, but it does have a couple little dings, etc... typical of a used car.

Asking $8500.00 OBO

Thank you. Yes, they refer to them as Roof Rails after the NASCARs.

Interesting. Does it drive now? Think it would make it back to IL?

This car is about as close to buying a new 2000 Grand Prix GTP Daytona 500 edition as you're going to find. I would feel comfortable driving this car anywhere. It really only has 77XX orig miles. Thank you.

How many miles have you put on it since you acquired it?

Under 50 miles. I bought it with the anticipation of keeping it, but the storage situation did not work out. I have a one car garage and driveway. 1970 Monte Carlo in the garage, this, a Corvette, and another 2000 GTP, all take up the driveway. I just can't find a place to put it and It makes me nervous leaving it outside under a cover. This is the cleanest Grand Prix I've seen and I've been into them since 1998 when I purchased a 1995 GTP.

Thanks Waupachino, I've got a '02 Monte Carlo SS with the 3.8l for my DD and I love it but it's getting over 205,000 miles on the clock!

I was just wondering what issues would arise once it starts being driven with having set for its life.

This car has peaked my interest for sure!

My DD is a 00 GTP coupe with 346K on the odometer. It made it to 330K before losing a roller lifter. That's when I swapped in a 57K used motor. These things are know for their reliability. This car had a very easy life and it shows. It was stored inside and only driven on nice days. The tires are original and show no signs of dry Rot.

I just sold my DD 03 GT, if you were closer I just might have to replace it with this. I always loved these W bodies, they run forever. Good luck with the sale.

Ahh, cool to see one of these old GTPs again. The family used to have a '98 GTP sedan, green with the gold wheels. Quite the sleeper back in the day. Was very surprised that the motor on it blew up, it only had 138k miles on it (piston collapsed). Never understood why it happened since it was well maintained unless the previous owners didn't change the oil or something. I had a SII S/C 3800 in a Buick that ended up going 168k miles before the trans started going out, engine was still strong though. Anyway, GLWS looks very clean!

I got close. I accepted $8k Cash. It went to a man that has all Pontiacs and I believe will be well taken care of and appreciated. I know I'll never find a cleaner lower mileage one again, but I just didn't have the room to keep it with 3 other cars and a 1 car garage.
