Probably Lexan (polycarbonate) vs. Plexiglass (acrylic) which is incredibly strong, in fact Lexan is what bullitt proof glass is made of (in correct thickness).

There was a company 10 years or so back making a clear spoiler which was customizeable by engraving designs, words, etc, into the Lexan and then backlighting it, similar to a custom store sign. I suspect this may be one of those.

Now as to the design and application here, well, to each their own! Perhaps the concept is better left hanging over the entrance to a local pub vs. attached to the back of a car.

I think she did have something engraved on it. I couldn't tell what it said my eyes are bad but the wing was like a dinner bell had to go see whats up!

Well he definitely chose the wrong car to put that on.....

Unless this has one of the NACA profiles, which I doubt, this is just a spoiler, not a wing.
