Have been thinking about the 1966 Olds Cutlass Supreme 4 door I had as my first car. Black exterior with white interior. Loved that car, probably because it was my first, butu seeing none really around , especially 4 doors, I might look for one.
Your opinion.

My first car was a 73 AMC Javelin, kelly green with white stripes down the side. Only real adds were a set of Cragers and a rear spoiler. Poor thing was beaten to death and was always getting sideswiped in parking lots. Ran it up to 200k miles and feel like I was always fixing something. I would buy it again and drop in a LT4 engine. AMC used parts from everyone anyway.

I would, but could not afford it 1968 Firebird 400HO White/Blue. Originally I was to get/buy my father's 1968 Firebird 350 blue/white brother totaled it a few weeks after I turned 16

First car given to me.... le nope.

First car I bought was just spotted by a friend and it looked damn good. I would toy with the thought of buying it again, owned for ten years and sold in 2009.

1978 Nova, bought it from the original owner with less than 50k on the odo. 350/4bbl, so it actually had some power. Lost it in Hurricane Sandy. I have been looking for another one, but they are all either clapped out or way too much money for a 4 dr.

My first car was a 1969 Javelin. I loved that car. Broke down every week it seemed but it was all mine. I learned a lot just trying to get to school with that thing. Did my first brake job, radiator, water pump, and carb rebuild along with basic fluid changes on my old AMC. I would buy it back in a heartbeat if I saw it.

Nope..had a worked 1969 bright yellow with black convertible firebird 350.

Great car back in the mid 1970s but compared to today's cars...it was not really that impressive.

Had fun in that car...great times...but no I wouldn't want to own it again.

Good topic and if you want that first car they usually on either Craigslist or eBay. I do suggest test driving before buying though...time tends to make us forget what they really were like to own and drive.

Uh, no. 1973 Plymouth Valiant 4 door. Rolling brick with manual steering, manual breaks, no AC, AM radio that sometimes worked and not much else. Although, it did have a 225 slant 6 that I could not blow up or break and believe me.... I tried!

First car...1972 Dodge Dart 4 door.... Ran well, and was great transportation to well over 200k miles. But would not want to own it again.

The replacement 1970 GTO on the other hand....sure I'd love to have that one back (in the condition it was in when I sold it...not after the next owner rolled it) Of course at that time it was the same as buying a 1990's car today. The prices may have increased a little since I owned it

First car I owned, was a '65 Corvair Corsa convertible. It was a good looking car, and I fell for it, but soon after I bought it, I realized that it had been driven pretty hard, in the pervious 5 years, before I got it. I wound up rebuilding a lot of it, during the year and a half I owned it. So, no, I wouldn't want to have it again.

The first brand new car I owned, was a '71 Chevelle SS454. I got quite a deal on it, as a "left over", after the 72s began to hit the showroom. It didn't have power steering, and the clutch pedal practically took both feet to push in. The luster wore off it, after 2 years, and I traded it off for something else.

Funny thing, the Chevelle showed up on E-bay, about a year and a half ago. I paid $3450 for it, in October of '71. The dealer that had it, in 2016, wanted $34,500........

I would/did but I like the car so I don't know if it was nostalgia or just something I wanted in the collection. Ended up being a little of both I guess. Started with a '70 Beetle many years ago and picked up a '69 three years ago.

1971 Chevy Nova 2 door, v8

Loved that car until I planted it in a ditch and totaled it. I was 16-17.

I had an Explorer Sport. It was a good vehicle, if I could get it as cheap as I did again, I would buy it for a cheap daily.

Yep. Was always fixing something on mine too. This was crazy, but I also removed the AC unit and compressor to make it lighter and a little bit faster.
